I could not love this session anymore! Addisen and I planned to wait until the blossoms came at the BYU-I gardens to do her family photos. But with the weather being cold this spring the blossoms were later than I normal. She suggested I come and do their family session where they currently live: Terreton, Idaho. At first I was hesitate because I love being able to scout out locations before sessions and I would be coming in blind. Hubby said he would come with me and I always jump at any chance I get to hang out with him. We did get there early which gave me time to catch up a little with some old friends. And they let us use their beautiful blooming yard. Then we went to an old barn to do some cowboy inspired family photos that make me about die. Benson, Addison’s husband, is such a cowboy and wanted to get some photos with their horses.

I grew up in Monteview, a little further west than Terreton, but I went there for high school and elementary. And just recently my parents moved from their house of 30+ years. Because of this all my ties to the place of my past are the people I grew up with. And I have the best memories of my childhood and the people who helped me. Addi and her family, were good friends of mine. I loved babysitting their kids during the years and Addi’s mom was my leader in a few different things. I don’t know a warmer and kinder person. I truly love the people I grew up with. Through the years, I’ve been able to do Addi’s senior photos, her wedding, and now documenting the beginning of her beautiful family. Addi’s sister Jayci, married my cousin and I love having her part of the family. AND Benson’s sister, Brooke, married my other cousin. I love all the connections I have to these two great people and their families. Addi and Benson have such an amazing connection. (I almost named one of my boys Benson after meeting him.) I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE being part of people’s journeys through the years and seeing how they develop and change. I hope to continue to do so with Addi and Benson and their son Ryder (ANOTHER cute name!) Addisen just completed her degree in elementary education.  I am so proud of her.
