Sydney and Caleb
A beautiful, cold Spring wedding at the Pocatello LDS Temple Wedding
Ring Ceremony and Reception at The Hive, Pocatello
Oh, the things I could say about this wedding, but I want to start off talking about Sydney and Caleb.
Sum it up by saying that I love this couple! I love their amazing family and friends! I love the way they look at each other and laugh and know how to have a good time. This day was a dream for so many reasons. It was beautiful from a visual perspective but what really captivated me was the overall joy that emulated from the couple and their loved ones.
These two met at a YSA volleyball activity. They immediately noticed each other but Caleb thought Sydney, who had come with her brother, was already dating someone. Their mutual friend Preston exchanged numbers between the two of them though and Caleb texted a month a half later. They immediately started texting back and forth and he asked her out on a first date. When he arrived to pick her up, he was mistaken for the pizza boy. He didn’t bring pizzas, but did bring his winning smile and a plan for a fun date. They started dating regularly and a month after their first date, he showed up at her house with flowers and asked her to be his girlfriend. (I love it!) After a few weeks of dating, Sydney was scared of her intense feelings for Caleb and how fast they were moving. She tried to push him away, saying they should date other people, but all she thought about was him. She called him to invite him over to talk and he ran 1/2 mile uphill to see her. When she opened the door they both starting crying. They knew in that moment that they wanted to be each other’s forever.
These two got married at the Pocatello LDS Temple and at their luncheon, ring ceremony, and reception at The Hive.

The beautiful 3 tiered cake had a little tumble from some dancing kids in the corner. Sydney was so cute as she got some frosting on her dad. It was bummer moment, but the team was able to find a small cake for the couple to cut into. Weddings are unpredictable and full of adventure.

I have to give a quick shout out to the amazing vendors at this wedding. They are some of the best around. I grew up on a farm and my dad was constantly telling us to look around and see what needs to be done. “What’s next?” Look how you can help and do better. It’s something I take into my business. My job is more than a photographer, it’s to make sure that my bride’s and groom’s have the best day ever and I help them do that in anyway I can. Each of the vendors I saw at the wedding was doing the same. Chris, the best DJ around (seriously!), asked me multiple times what I needed, how he could help, and worked with me to get the best shots I could. He was concerned about the couple and making sure that they enjoyed their day. I saw him moving furniture, sweeping floors, and communicating with everyone to keep things going.
Shelby, at The White Antler, was at the venue making sure everything ran smoothly. Her attention to detail was impeccable. Everything was so smooth, and even with the cake incidence, she adjusted plans and made something cute and sweet. This wedding was one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. She is beyond talented. In addition, the florals were out of this world!! The most beautiful arrangements depicting Spring in the most beautiful way. These two, Heather from Flora Jean Flowers and Shelby, working together are a dream team and I saw them working hard all day.
I feel honored to be part of such an amazing team. And having witnessed the love and joining of two incredible people.
