• Winter (November-March): Snow-covered landscapes and fewer crowds offer a serene, winter wonderland backdrop. Limited spots due to much of the park closing for winter.
• Spring (April-May): Melting snow and starting of green colors. Still can be chilly.

Grand Teton is full of iconic spots for family photos. Here are a few of my favorites:

• Cathedral Group Turnout: This spot offers stunning views of the Teton Range and is easily accessible. On the way to String Lake, is less busy and tends to be overlooked for more popular locations. (*see images below of view examples)
• String Lake: Can be busy, but has a beautiful view of the Teton mountain, and lake shores. If you are willing to get in the water is a wonderful place to take adventurous shots.
• Mormon Row: The historic barns with the Tetons in the background create a timeless, rustic feel. Some of the most recognized photos of area come from this location.
• Blacktail Overlook: close to the entrance of the park, it has a classic view of the mountains as well as a peek over the Snake River. Easy to get to other areas from this location.
• Schwabacher Landing: This area offers reflections of the mountains in the Snake River, ideal for sunrise or sunset shots. Beautiful trail to explore, and has a good mixture of everything you could want with photos: water, trees, sagebrush, and epic views. Very popular location so can be busy at certain times.
• Jenny Lake: A classic location with serene waters and mountain views. Harder to get views of the mountains as you are right up close to them.

3. Time Your Session for the Best Light
