A Summer Wedding at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple: Vintage Charm and Personal Touches

I’ve known the Reed family for a few years and this is my second wedding with them. It did not disappoint! This reception is by far my favorite of the year. Elegance, intimate, sweet, beautiful, fun, vintage-inspired, dripping with personality; everything hit perfect! The bride and groom, Annie and Dallin, are just a beautiful, fun-loving couple and I adore them.

I usually start a wedding blog post with the beginning of the day and work towards the exit. But for this one, I think everyone should be inspired by this reception. It was magical. I’m starting in the middle of this summer Idaho Falls LDS Temple wedding day and then coming back to Annie and Dallin’s temple exit after.

Vintage Charm: Classy “Tea Time” Inspired Backyard Reception

The reception was a true reflection of the couple’s personality and style. The bride changed into her grandmother’s wedding dress, which had been shortened for the occasion and fitted to her. Surrounded by gorgeous florals in shades of peach, blue, pink, and yellow, and antique china collected from vintage shops across the country, the reception was a perfect blend of elegance and nostalgia. A tent in the backyard housed the celebration, with paper butterflies dangling above and vintage-inspired decor crafted by the family over weeks of preparation.

The evening was filled with laughter, dancing, and pure joy. The couple’s first dance set the tone for a night where everyone hit the dance floor. As their photographer, this reception was my favorite of the year, culminating in a magical bubble exit under the summer stars.

This Idaho Falls LDS Temple wedding is a beautiful reminder of how personal touches and vintage inspiration can create a celebration that’s as unique as the couple themselves.

A LOT of the decor and work was done by the families and couple themselves but some of the vendors were:

  • Chair and table rentals were from The Barn on 1st
  • Florals were done by Shae Wright from Shea’s Blooms
  • Cake was Nothing Bundt Cakes
  • Catering was BYU-I
  • Invites by Emma Reed Designs

Summer LDS Temple Wedding around the Grounds

A summer wedding at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple is always a magical experience, but this particular celebration stood out for its unique vintage charm and heartfelt personal touches. The bride Annie was radiant in a stunning vintage dress she had discovered and tailored to perfection. She embodied timeless elegance. The fitted bodice and delicate lace detailing on the skirt and sleeves added a touch of romance, while her vintage umbrella became a whimsical prop in some of the day’s most memorable photos.

The temple grounds provided a breathtaking backdrop. They are always planted to perfection with flowers. As the couple emerged to cheers from their families, I don’t think their smiles left their faces the entire time.
