Adventure Awaits: A Couple’s Photo Session at Schwabacher’s Landing in Grand Teton National Park
There’s something undeniably magical about Grand Teton National Park, especially in late fall when the golden light dances across the rugged peaks and the air is crisp with adventure. For couples who crave exploration and breathtaking backdrops, this iconic destination is a dream come true. Carly and Josh booked a couple’s session with me in the late fall and it was magical. We were able to visit 3 different areas ending at Schwabacher’s Landing for a sunset with the Snake River and the last fall foliage. Carly and Josh rented a jeep and we took a few minutes to get some of them with it and the Teton Range. It was the perfect recipe for an unforgettable adventure.
Grand Teton is a playground for adventurous couples, offering a wide array of activities to make your trip as thrilling as it is memorable. At the end of this post is a few activities to make your visit an adventure.

1. Wild and Scenic Rafting on the Snake River
Kick off your adventure with a wild and scenic raft trip down the Snake River. Led by a knowledgeable guide, you’ll glide through the heart of the park, surrounded by stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for moose grazing along the riverbanks, beavers building their dams, and eagles soaring overhead. It’s an experience that combines relaxation and excitement, all while immersing you in the natural beauty of the Tetons.
2. A Scenic 42 Mile Drive Through Grand Teton’s Highlights
Hop into your jeep and embark on your very own Grand Teton tour. The park’s scenic loop includes the Teton Park Road, Jenny Lake Scenic Drive, and Highway 89, offering unparalleled views of iconic spots like Jenny Lake, Schwabacher’s Landing, Snake River Overlook, and Oxbow Bend. For a truly unique perspective, saddle up and explore the park on horseback. Whether you choose a one- or two-hour ride from Jackson Lake Lodge, you’ll be treated to sweeping views of the Tetons, Oxbow Bend, and the Snake River. Grand Teton is a hiker’s paradise, with trails ranging from leisurely strolls to challenging full-day treks. For shorter hikes, consider Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point, String Lake, Leigh Lake, or Swan and Heron Pond—all offering stunning views without requiring a full day on the trail. If you’re up for a more challenging adventure, tackle Cascade Canyon, Death Canyon, or Paintbrush Canyon.
