Top Places to Photograph Your Family in Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park is stunning. Everywhere you go inside and outside the park has beautiful 360 views of gorgeous mountains, grass, and sagebrush. If you are looking to get your family photos done in Grand Teton National Park though, I do have some suggestions on great places to do that. Some of my favorite locations are Schwabacher’s Landing, Glacier View Overlook, Blacktail Overlook, but a personal favorite it Cascade Canyon Turnout. It isn’t the traditional straight on view of the mountains, but around sunset, the light hits the mountains in a way that takes my breath away every time. Getting your family photos done here is a great idea if you want to capture your visit in the park.

Cascade Canyon Turnout for Your Family Photos

Cascade Canyon Turnout is absolutely stunning! What is great about this spot is that it is usually pretty quiet and away from the crowds at sunset time. There is a small trail that leads into the canyon, but the area is covered in beautiful sagebrush. I also love the small hill there that allows for sitting down portriaits with the Teton mountains in the background. This spot is probably my favorite. You are literally so close to the mountains. This view is about 8 miles from the Park entrance on the Moose side. It is also close to String Lake which can be a second option for photos.
