A Fun Fall Engagement Session at the Red Barn Pumpkin Patch in Idaho Falls

Fall engagement sessions in Idaho Falls are always a favorite, and this session at the Red Barn Pumpkin Patch was pure autumn magic. From pumpkins and crisp air to cozy fall colors, it was the perfect setting for a couple who truly loves everything about the season—especially fall vibes and Halloween. Even with the pumpkin patch bustling with visitors, we were able to carve out moments that felt personal, relaxed, and genuinely fun. One of the best parts about engagement sessions like this is leaning into movement, laughter, and real interaction. Instead of posing stiffly, we let the couple walk, explore, and enjoy the experience together—and that’s where the magic really happened.

Making a Crowded Location Feel Intimate

Popular fall locations like the Red Barn Pumpkin Patch can feel intimidating for photos, but with the right timing, angles, and flow, it’s completely possible to create images that feel like you had the place to yourselves. We focused on quieter corners, used the pumpkins and scenery to frame moments, and embraced the playful energy of the setting.

We were then able to finish their session with their dog at one of my favorite locations in Idaho Falls for the fall. I just had the best time with these two.
