Jade came all the way from Twin Falls to do a Idaho Falls High School Senior photo session with me. The day of her session was so stormy and I debated cancelling a few times, but she had taken off school and they were on their way here. We started her sessions right as the rain started but were still able to get some really cool shots of Jade on the Downtown Presbyterian Church steps, which is a very neutral backdrop and one of my favorites as a way to focus on the individual.
We had to start her session later than we wanted due to bad traffic on their way to Idaho Falls from Twin Falls. I was working fast as we explored a few of the different facades, stairs, and alleyways of Downtown Idaho Falls after waiting out the rain a bit. It was so cold being early spring, but Jade was very tough and was able to do 4 different outfit changes. We were also able to finish her session at Sandy Downs sand dunes. The wind was crazy, but I loved the way it make Jade’s hair whip around her in a dramatic way. I always love movement in photos.
The great thing about Idaho Falls is that it does have a variety for portraiture work. Idaho Falls is surrounded by some of the prettiest scenery and I love using it when we can, but also historic Downtown Idaho Falls offers and incredible variety and is one of my favorite places to shoot.
Congratulations Jade on her graduation in 2024! You have an amazing, sweet personality that I loved capturing and you were so tough.
Check out more senior work here! I love being able to capture this special time as these ADULTS head off into the world.
