Elopements are a fantastic way to keep things private, simple, and focused. These two eloped at a court house as they wanted to keep it private and easy. We planned their elopement photos for Grand Teton National Park because you can not beat the Tetons as a background. I love that Cecily went for a non traditional dress. I think the green lace dress she chose went amazing with the blue of the mountains and the snow. I really enjoyed these two, their laughs, and humor while dealing with the cold. It think it was worth it. Thank you Cecily and David and congratulations!
How many days should you spend in Grand Teton National Park? I would recommend no less than 2 days. The best time to get into the park and see the sites is late May to early October otherwise you are dealing with deep snow and limited access to the park. The snow is amazing on the peaks though as you can tell from these photos. To avoid crowds, September is less busy than July and August. The Park is beautiful and the park amenities are all in function and the weather is not to hot or too cold.

Given the park’s out of the way location, if you are coming from out of town, the Jackson Hole Airport is the best way to get there. However, as an Idaho Falls Photographer, I travel to Jackson Hole all the time and the Idaho Falls Regional Airport is only 2 hours from the south entrance and has a gorgeous drive through the mountains. You may find a budget flight through there or Salt Lake International Airport.
There are four entrances to the Park. And you can travel the park usually in 2 hours. The best way to get around the park is by car. But there are many tours around, and they have a beautiful biking path that is on my bucket list.
I recommend starting your day early before the crowds and heat get to you.
