Celebrating Her LDS baptism with balloons and a white dress

Families

8 is GREAT!

love living in Idaho Falls. We have only been in our house for a week and a half, but I love being closer to all my errands, food, and stores, and getting to my Idaho Falls clients faster is a huge bonus. When Megan texted me about doing Lyla’s LDS baptism photos at the Idaho Falls temple I was so excited. I love me a good bride in a white wedding dress, but having an adorable little girl excited about her white dress and the new experiences she’s about ready to engage excites me just as much. Lyla was such a sweety. She was goofy, silly, sweet, smiley, fun, bubbly, excited and we had so much fun doing her “It’s Great to be 8!” baptism photos. I love her teeth and her smile. They made me smile while editing and putting together her gallery. You can’t help but love her and feel her excitement when you see her.

We have a lot of smoke in the air. This usually doesn’t happen in the South East Idaho area until about August. Its made me have to start my sessions a little earlier because it gets so dark before sunset. The smoke really softens the light and you can see that glow around Lyla’s soft, golden hair. If you are planning on having a sunset session plan on starting a little earlier than normal. And be sure to help keep wildfires down and camp responsibly. The smoke really kills the views and light for us photographers. 🙂 But most importantly we want to take care of Idaho and its wildness.

Thank you Megan and Lyla and family for trusting me to be part of this special time in your lives. It’s always a pleasure. And good luck with the baptism and enjoy having your family around.

xoxo
