Why Choose Moose Creek Ranch for Your Wedding?
I recently had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Moose Creek Ranch in Victor, and I can’t say enough good things about this stunning venue. Nestled in the heart of the Tetons, the ranch is a true gem, offering a quintessential Jackson Hole experience that perfectly blends rustic charm with breathtaking natural beauty. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the serene mountain valley setting, with Moose Creek babbling nearby and the golden fall aspens creating a picture-perfect backdrop. I, personally, didn’t spend too much time at the Ranch that day, but what I saw made me really excited to do weddings there. Kali’s and Zac’s wedding day was absolute dream with Moose Creek Ranch as their reception site and The Wedding Tree as their ceremony site.

Getting Ready for the Wedding at Moose Creek Ranch
The Kali and Zac’s wedding had a Western theme, and Moose Creek Ranch couldn’t have been a more fitting location. The bride and groom were able to get ready in separate, spacious rooms, which made for a smooth and stress-free start to the day. The cabins were perfect for the backdrop and setting the scene. We took some incredible photos outside with the vibrant fall foliage and was able to do a first look with Kali’s dad! Kali and Zac didn’t want to see each other until the wedding, so the Ranch offered the space for me to get photos without them running into each other. We then all traveled to the iconic Wedding Tree in Bridger-Teton National Forest for their ceremony, which was absolutely magical, before returning to the ranch for their reception.

The Wedding Tree in Bridger-Teton National Forest: A Perfect Backdrop
I love The Wedding Tree as a ceremony site to get married at. It’s mostly private and located from the hustle of GTNP. And the backdrop is just stunning. If you’re planning to tie the knot at The Wedding Tree, here’s what you need to know: The site is located on the Bridger-Teton National Forest, and reservations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure your spot, you’ll need to submit your request at least 30 days before your wedding date. Keep in mind that larger or more complex events might require additional time to process, so it’s best to plan ahead. One important note: The request must come directly from the couple getting married—not from a wedding planner, family member, or anyone else.
After Kali and Zac’s ceremony we were able to have another 45 minutes to do some photos at Blacktail Overlook located in Grand Teton National Park. I absolutely loved this time spent with the couple. We then headed back to Moose Creek Ranch to celebrate with the couple in their rustic barn.

A Year-Round Destination: Moose Creek Ranch
Moose Creek Ranch isn’t just a summer destination—it’s a year-round paradise. In the warmer months, guests can enjoy endless outdoor activities like hiking, whitewater rafting, and exploring the nearby Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. In the winter, the ranch transforms into a skier’s haven, with world-class slopes at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Grand Targhee just a short drive away.
No matter the season, the ranch’s warm hospitality and stunning surroundings make it an ideal location for weddings, family reunions, or corporate retreats.
