Idaho Falls and surrounding areas has some wonderful wedding venues that are sure to meet every need you may have whether that be accommodating a large group, to having shade in those hot summer months. Through the years as a wedding photographer, I’ve been able to shoot in about every venue around Eastern Idaho and I’m here to get you the scoop on what to expect from these spotlight ones.
LaBelle Lake, Rigby
This wedding venue is one of my favorites. The staff at LaBelle Lake goes out of their way to make the ground surrounding the large cabin immaculate. On the banks of the Snake River, there are several choices on where to have your outdoor wedding on the 7 acres of grounds surrounding a small pond filled with fish and boats to entertain your guests. It truly is a paradise to get married here, with ducks wandering the property, and the beautiful landscaping. It even has a swing hanging down from one of its large trees. There is an awesome bridal room in the 7,000 square foot cabin, with plenty of room to house your guests. There’s plenty of space to set up tents for shade or weather protection. And of course, a dance floor so that you and your guest can enjoy the evening together after the wedding! In all seasons, LaBelle Lake is an incredible place to hold your wedding. Even in the winter LaBelle Lake has an incredible inside to host your guests. If your wedding is big and grand, LaBelle Lake is the way to go.
Occupancy: Outdoor areas can accommodate large weddings up to 500+ guests

The Barn on 1st, Idaho Falls
Idaho Falls is my base of operations so I so enjoy when I’m able to do a wedding at The Barn on 1st. The 91-year old barn is a stunner. With a 25-foot high barrel ceiling in the main loft as well as a kitchen, lounge and large garden area, this venue is unlike any other around Idaho Falls. Through the years they have added more and more to their outside area and it’s a wonderful place to have an outdoor wedding as well, with a beautiful arch and courtyard area attached to the barn. They have an old truck which is fun to take photos by. It’s a classic, country vibe but with white beautiful ceilings and walls that let in lots of light and create a beautiful background for any color palette.
Occupancy: Maximum of 190 guests in the barn. Seating is provided for 150 guests.

The Hive, Pocatello
White, classic, clean, gorgeous are the words I would use to describe The Hive wedding venue in Chubbuck. With my all time favorite bridal room, the entire venue is a photographer’s dream of light with inside weddings. Its a beautiful shape and has a small greeting area perfect for sign in books, before entering the large ballroom with a balcony overlooking it. I love the large windows above the floor that creates such a well lit area. It has an awesome kitchen area connected to the room. This building a perfect for medium-small weddings. The outside area isn’t large but its delightful to throw open those white doors in the summer and allow the site to be enjoyed by all your guests. The Hive works hard on customer service.
Occupancy: Maximum of 200+ guests for a flowing reception, or seating provided for 150 guests.

Red Barn Event Center, Blackfoot
If you are looking for the classic red barn, country vibe to your wedding venue, the Red Barn Event Center in Blackfoot is the place to go. With an large lawn you can have your wedding outside with the classic, iconic barn as the background. It’s a magical place at night when you can throw open those large barn doors and let your guest wander in and out with a cement pad outside to have all the dancing you want. They have large mature trees and plenty of room for a larger wedding. With a bridal suite, you can’t beat the Red Barn for those western, classic vibes.
Occupancy: Maximum of 100 guests inside the barn, or 300 guests inside and outside

Loft 745, Rigby
This venue has been through a renovation and it’s a stunner. The gardens are so private with large trees surrounding the dancing area and multiple pavilions strung with twinkling lights. Garden swings, waterfalls, and mature trees make the outside an amazingly beautiful place to have an outdoor wedding in the summer. But you aren’t limited to that because the inside is lovely with beautiful vaulted ceilings, hanging chandeliers, and cozy white walls. The bride’s and groom’s rooms are small, but the private kitchen in big. I truly love this gem venue in Rigby for smaller, intimate weddings.

Emalee’s Barn, Rexburg
I could not say enough about this charming, 100-year old barn located on the westside of Rexburg. They have a beautiful white front with large doors, and then large black grid doors in the back that let in so much light. Their decorator, Brikade Design, can help you customize a beautiful table for your reception. The back of the barn has a courtyard and there is plenty of parking for your guests.
The Waterfront, Idaho Falls
The Waterfront isn’t a traditional wedding venue, but when it comes to Eastern Idaho/ Idaho Falls area and weddings, I think the biggest issue is space. We have lots of beautiful venue that are smaller or medium sized, but if you are having a party you need space. The Waterfront has that. Large ceilings, wide doors that open to a large patio area, and a huge stage to have a band, the Waterfront is the way to go if you want to dance, drink, and stay up late with your guests. Waterfront is brown toned and open to all sorts of events. It’s also conveniently located close to Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls, which has some beautiful areas to photograph a bride and groom if there is time on your wedding day to explore. I had so much fun there with Amparo and Omar after their traditional Catholic wedding. You can see more images of their party on the blog here.
Occupancy: Maximum of 522 guests, or up to 296 seated guests.
The Brickyard Event Center, Idaho Falls
This place is on the east end of Idaho Falls, around the Ammon area. There is a large area for dancing, stage, amazing outdoor fireplace sitting area, large kitchen, great balcony area, and a bridal suite. It has a sleek and modern look that can easily be personalized to each couple. It had plenty of room for the larger weddings and it is so nice to have a warm place to do weddings in Idaho Falls. The colors are neutral and the ceiling is gorgeous. I also loved the brickwork which was great for my groom photos. Outdoor area is so cozy with seating, above heating and huge fireplace. I think that is where I would hang out if I wasn’t working every time I go there. Kitchen is amazing and very accommodating for catering and serving your guests.

The Avenues Wedding and Event Center, Rexburg
This wedding venue is a little gem tucked into a business center in Rexburg. It has two large rooms that makes flowing from wedding to reception easy. It’s clean and a beautiful white slate for your wedding decor. I love the bridals room with the gorgeous chandelier and fun paper flower wall. The staff here will decorate for you and it’s just a simple, intimate, easy venue for your beautiful day. There are lots of windows for natural light. Website here.
Occupancy: Maximum of 250+ guests for a flowing reception, or 100 seated guests.
The Millhouse, Rigby
Millhouse Venue is a dark, moody, industrial venue located around some of the most interesting architecture in Rigby Idaho. It was originally used to store sugar beet trucks for the Rigby Sugar Mill back in 1919. And that history is reflected it’s rustic charm and personality. The wedding reception that I photographed there had beautiful candles and it was stunning in the environment. It features original brick walls with wood beams and a wood ceiling. Three oversized wood doors open to a beautiful garden which creates a seamless flow between the inside and outside areas. It has a huge kitchen and a great outdoor space.
Occupancy: Maximum of 200 guests inside, seating provided for 140, up to 250 seated indoors and outdoors.
Duffin Red Barn, South Idaho Falls
I’ve photographed the owners of this barn a few times in family photos and they are the sweetest people. They have done a lot of work on this beautiful 100 year old barn. New floors and a vaulted ceiling and farmhouse table and chairs. The upstairs has seating and makes a fun hang out area. If you want a small, traditional barn wedding this is the place. The serving area is very nice and they are working on landscaping the grounds around it. It is located on 65th south. They don’t have website as its privately owned but Melinda Duffin is a gem and you can contact her on Facebook or message me and I can get the information.

The Arbor, Idaho Falls
The Arbor is located right across the from Idaho Falls High School. It is an older building, with floor-to-ceiling stained glass windows and grand light fixtures. It has a large, grand ballroom, full kitchen, low lights, and a carpeted stage. There is plenty of run for dancing. They do have a small courtyard with large mature trees. The DEC, Idaho Falls
The Downtown Event Center is a venue located in the heart of downtown Idaho Falls. It is great for modern, elegant weddings or receptions with an industrial feel. It is very artfully designed with a huge stone fireplace located in the center, hanging Edison lights, and black industrial exposed pipes. It has a large event space (capacity of 340 guests), a food preparation area, and a bridal suite.
